Volunteers make a difference!

ASLA’s  programs link scientists from industry, government and post-secondary institutions to students and communities across Alberta. Our scientists cover scientific disciplines from aeronautical engineering to zoology and not only bring their extensive knowledge and understanding of science but also their excitement and passion.

We are looking for individuals who have an interest in the sciences to deliver curriculum-linked school presentations in grades K-12. When you sign up a network representative in your area will contact you to discuss your interests as well as provide you with an opportunity to participate in a short training session. Once you feel comfortable, you will then be connected with a teacher in a local school. Together you will decide a time convenient to deliver your classroom presentation.
